To lose belly fat, you need to eat the right kind of carbs-that includes fruits,
veggies, and whole grain foods. You must lose weight in the entire body, to lose belly fat. There is no magic
pill to reduce weight, and lose belly fat. Choose a diet plan that acts as a fat burner.
Minimize drinking alcohol, as it tends to go right to your belly fat (ever hear of a
“beer belly”?).
Cardiovascular exercises, such as swimming and walking are a best choice for losing
belly fat, as they target full body weight. Dancing and jogging are also great, and a lot of fun (at least
the dancing), as well. Most experts will tell you to increase your cardio exercises to at least five day a
week, or 20-30 minutes each time. They will also recommend targeting the abdominal area by using exercises
such as: crunches, and sit-ups.
Actually, an expert on this, Mike Geary, has some other very
different ideas.
He actually states that using Ab specific exercises (such as crunches, and sit-up),
are not a very effective way to help lose belly fat. He recommends focusing on the intensity of your
workouts, and working the bodey as a whole, in order to lose belly fat. Workouts should have a high
intensity, with short rest periods. Working the larges muscle groups of the body, instead of trying to
isolate specific small muscles, works much better to lose belly fat. Crunches and sit-up exercises actually
provide the lease amount of resistance, and resistance is what develops and tones the muscles to help lose
belly fat.
